20th Annual State of the Community Luncheon February 19, 2014
The 2014 State of the Community Luncheon will feature Dr. Jeff Loux, Director of the UC Davis Land Use and Natural Resource Program. Tickets are $12. More information can be found here.

was approved for sending to the Woodland City Council expressing concern about the General Plan decision-making process.

The LWVUS sent the following letter
to members of the U.S. House urging them to pass common sense solutions to the gun violence plaguing our nation. Members of the grassroots Lobby Corps will also deliver this message in meetings with House members.

Energy Benefits Yolo - Community wide discount program for energy efficiency upgrades and solar power!
The Yolo County Climate Compact, Yolo County and the Cities of Davis, West Sacramento, Winters and Woodland are inviting residents
to consider going solar and upgrading your home's energy efficiency.
Please visit the program website by June 30th to register. Once registered, you will be able to schedule a site evaluation and receive a proposal. Please note that registration does not obligate you moving forward.
The Woodland LWV, in line with their position on climate change, supports energy efficiency and renewable energy. As part of that the Woodland LWV supports community programs such as Energy Benefits Yolo that allow people to utilize community /group buying to obtain pre-negotiated group discounts on vetted contractors. The Woodland LWV does not necessarily endorse any specific contractor.
